MÀMAWI

TOGETHER

Tim created a Community-based initiative that engages parents, students, and community members in putting reconciliation into Action.

Màmawi Together was started in 2009 to leave a legacy for my children and other Indigenous children so that reconciliation will continue for generations to come. A Màmawi Together Youth for Reconciliation Movement was sponsored and led by the Màmawi Together team in 2017, and the 150 students drafted 9 powerful challenges that were presented to the federal government, Indigenous Affairs & Northern Development Minister Carolyn Bennett, Senator Murray Sinclair, Former Chair of the TRC and Honorary Patron, and the public. The youth with the support of the broader community has the power to make this happen.
