ABOUT US

ReconciliActionS Inc. is a unique platform dedicated to promoting Indigenous Reconciliation, education, and empowerment across Canada.

Through our presentations, workshops, projects, and educational initiatives, we strive to educate, enlighten, and inspire greater understanding of Indigenous issues and Reconciliation. Our approach is built on the principles of respect, empathy, and inclusivity, guided by the lived experiences of our speakers, many of whom have been impacted by intergenerational trauma.

OUR MANDATE

It is our Mandate to acknowledge the emerging and compelling desire to put the events of the past behind us so that we can continue to work towards a stronger and healthier future.

We will continue to highlight the injustices and harms experienced by Indigenous peoples and their missing children and the ongoing need for healing.

We will continue our profound commitment to establishing new relationships embedded in mutual recognition and respect that will forge a brighter future.

Highlighting the truth will give voice to the spirits of the missing children and the children within the unmarked graves and burial sites.

"The children were heard to be saying: They're finally hearing us. They're finally seeing us."

- Dr. Chief Wilton Littlechild, former Commissioner of the TRC

OUR OBJECTIVES

RSB will contribute to the ongoing, individual, and collective discussions that lead towards Reconciliation.

Additionally, we will attempt to address and reflect the diverse backgrounds that make up Canada. This includes gender, 2LGBTQ+, racial, regional, linguistic, and immigrant identities. In essence, allowing room "in our circle" for everyone.

To open minds so that all Canadians can understand what Reconciliation may look like in the future.

We will contribute to a better understanding of the TRC's 94 Calls to Action.

Our organization will provide a platform for numerous speakers representing many perspectives in the very broad field of Reconciliation.

We commit to providing a holistic, culturally appropriate, and safe space in which our "uncomfortable truth" can be honoured
