MY STORY

My name is Chelsea Howard, and I was born and raised in Baie Verte, Newfoundland. I hold a B.A. (Hons) from Memorial University and a M.A. in Media Production from Toronto Metropolitan University, with my research focusing on Indigenous and First Nations human rights, particularly through literature and media representation.

In my professional journey, I spent over a decade working in corporate HR strategy across various industries, where I specialized in human-centric experience design, inclusivity, and allyship. In 2021, I founded Drift Consulting, with a mission to re-humanize workplace cultures by partnering with companies to prioritize their people through employer branding, employee value propositions, and equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.

Through my work, I aim to inspire meaningful dialogue around Truth and Reconciliation and collaborate with Indigenous speakers, influencers, and community groups to strengthen cultural knowledge in the workplace. I am also a proud member of the Qalipu Mi’kmaq band of Newfoundland and Labrador.
