MY STORY
I am Mi’gmaq from Listuguj First Nation in Quebec, and I currently live in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on unceded Wolastoqiyik territory with my wife Natasha and our two children, Brayden and Bryce. I hold a Diploma in Animation and Design from the New Brunswick Community College of Miramichi and a master’s degree in Education from the University of New Brunswick, and I’m the founder of Birch Bark Comics, where I created Sacred Circles, a comic series that explores my Mi’kmaq heritage through a contemporary lens.

In addition to Sacred Circles, I’ve authored several stories for Indigenous Story Studio, including Lost Innocence, Drawing Hope, River Run, Making it Right, Emily's Choice, and Tomorrow’s Hope. I was also invited by the University of Alabama to script and illustrate Jean-Paul's Daring Adventure: Stories from Old Mobile, and contributed to Migwite'tmeg: We Remember It for This Place: 150 Years Retold, a recounting of the 1981 salmon raids in Listuguj. I am also the creator of the young readers series Giju’s Gift, which follows a Mi’kmaw girl battling an ancient giant and forming an unexpected bond with a mythical creature. In 2021, my passion for storytelling expanded into animation, where I’ve directed four animated shorts for the Ni’gweg Collective, all rooted in my community of Listuguj and emphasizing the importance of community, culture, language, and the power of our stories.
